Parping

Parping

Parping is a town in the south of the Kathmandu Valley, which is the most important place of Buddhist pilgrimage, associated with the name of Padmasambhava— one of the founders of Tibetan Buddhism. This area is famous for the legendary Asura Cave, where, according to legend, Padmasambhava spent a long time in meditation. The place is also known for the Dakshinkali Hindu Temple, which is exclusively available for our group. Dozens of Buddhist monasteries, stupas, and holy sites are located in the parking lot and the surrounding area, as well as Tibetan settlements.

Dakshinkali
The next destination on our trip will be the famous Dakshinkali Hindu Temple—an amazing, mysterious, and unforgettable place. Nestled in the southern part of the Kathmandu Valley, this temple is dedicated to the goddess Kali. The shrine in her honor is visited by many Hindu devotees, pilgrims, and, of course, tourists. The local rituals are vivid and unique.

Swayambhunath Stupa

After climbing 365 steps, we will find ourselves at the foot of Swayambhunath. The largest stupa with Buddha’s Eyes is about 2,000 years old. It is said that the mantras spoken here have a special spiritual resonance and are directly audible to Higher Powers.

Swayambhunath is also called the "monkey temple" because these small creatures live in large numbers on the slopes of the 77-meter hill on which the stupa is located. It offers stunning views of the city. There is also a Tibetan monastery here, where we can talk with local priests and see how Tibetan monks live. On the territory of the temple complex, we will enjoy the sacred architecture, see many significant Buddhist statues, and also be able to get into meditation with local priests.
The Himalayas

The Himalayas

The next stage of our exciting journey will be climbing the highest mountain system in the world — the Himalayas. A trip in mountain jeeps will allow you to enjoy the unforgettable Himalayan landscape. The goal of the route is the Kalinchok peak, located at an altitude of 3850m. Since ancient times, the place has been considered a cult place for local shamans, where they performed their rituals. An altar of the god Shiva has been built on the top of the mountain. Nearby is the temple of the goddess, which is called Kalinchok Bhagavati. On the way, we will stop for lunch at an ethnic restaurant with national cuisine of the Himalayas.
